After obtaining his Degree in Dentistry he made his Social Service as a professional in Valle de la Estrella, Sixaola. He made his Master Degree in Orthodontics in the prestigious University of Southern California (USC) in Los Ángeles California, U. S. A.
After obtaining his Master Degree in Orthodontics he return to Costa Rica to establish his private dental practice, and has done so for the last 26 years. He was professor of Orthodontics in the Dentistry Faculty of the Universidad de Costa Rica.
Is a member of the American Association of Orthodontics AAO, and attends each year to their actualization meetings. Is also a member of the Academia Costarricense de Ortodoncia (ACO) and of the Federación de Asociaciones de Ortodoncia de Centroamérica (FAOCA).
